Atlanta Beltline
If you live in Atlanta Ga. I’m pretty sure by now you’ve heard of the “Atlanta Beltline”. Its one of the largest most wide-ranging urban redevelopments in the United States. It is a 22 mile loop of Multi-use trail, modern streetcar, and parks all based on railroad corridors that formerly encircled Atlanta. The “Beltline” can be explored by tour, bus, bike, scooter or foot. Free Fitness programs are offered at every level including boot camps, nutrition classes, toning and more. There’s also restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and coffee shops just to name a few along the “Beltline for your enjoyment.”
My family was in town visiting for Spring Break. In looking for things to do that were kid Friendly, I decided to take my family. It had been somewhere I have been wanting to visit for awhile now. No need to bring your own bicycle or scooter, there are plenty spread throughout the “Beltline” that you can rent by the hour. We rode up and down the “Beltline” enjoying all the beautiful things this trail has to offer. We stopped for iced drinks, let the children play at the playground. and even purchased some self healing books from a vendor. There was endless things to do, I could have stayed there forever. Only reason we didn’t eat anything at one of the many restaurants is because we had just eaten before we got there.
I’ve lived in Atlanta for the past 15 years and I definitely don’t explore my own city enough. I’m gonna make it my business to explore my own backyard and visit a new attraction once a month. Next time your in Atlanta Ga. be sure to go and visit the “Atlanta Beltline.” I would go hungry to if I were you. There was way too many places to eat not to eat there.
