Benefits of Fresh Aloe Vera
I love me some Aloe Vera Plant in its purest and natural form. It comes as a long thick green leaf that you can find in the produce department of just about any grocery store. I know Usually when you think of a plant you think of a potted plant that sits on your living room floor or in your kitchen window. Aloe Vera is a medicinal plant that’s been used to treat various health conditions for thousands of years. It’s safe to use aloe directly from the plant or you can buy it in gel form. Once you get your aloe leaf home, wash and dry the leaf first. Trim the prickly sides off with a knife. Using a knife or your fingers separate the interior gel from the outside of the leaf. The interior gel is the part of the aloe that you will use. After that I typically cut mine into cubes and put them in snack size bags and freeze what I’m not using. I use the gel as a face mask. on burns, scars, and sunburns. Aloe can also be consumed. Beware there are side effects so consult with your doctor before internal use!
